MBA has become one of the most popular post graduate courses in America today. An MBA can give a significant boost to your career by putting you straight into a managerial position. If you feel that your career growth has stalled, an MBA would be the ideal next step for you.
You can get an MBA degree from a traditional 2 year college, or you can save yourself thousads of dollars and lots of time by getting an online MBA degree. The option you pick will depend on where you stand in your current job, your financial conditions, and what family responsibilities you may have.

The advantages of a traditional 2 year MBA program are obvious: you spend two years completing a rigorous course schedule free from any distractions. You get to interact with fellow students and professors. You are exposed to the “atmosphere” of the university. Companies also tend to view a traditional degree in a more favorable light.

But there are disadvantages too. For one, a 2 year MBA degree can be prohibitively expensive. Tuition at top colleges often starts at ,000 per year and scholarships are hard to come by. If you’ve taken a loan at the undergraduate level, another student loan for an MBA can seriously overburden you with debt.

A traditional MBA degree also suffers from a lack of flexibility. If you can’t take out time from your current job, or if you have family responsibilities, you will find it hard to cope up with the MBA program. For such people, an online degree is a much better option.

With an online MBA degree, you have the advantage of flexibility and low cost. The cost of an online MBA degree will be several notches lower than a traditional college, and you can pick your own hours of study. You don’t have to be tied down to a set schedule, and you can attend to whatever responsibilities you may have. People who have been out of the university for a long time and who may feel out of place in a university setting can also benefit from an online MBA degree where you can take the lessons at your own pace.

What option you choose will depend on where you stand in your life at the present moment. If you have significat savings and can afford to attend a 2 year MBA program at a traditional university, by all means do so. But if you can’t, an online MBA is a terrific option.
